Amal Laassel is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of health care providers in medical malpractice actions. Her experience also includes the representation of other professionals in error and omission claims, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability defense, product liability cases, wrongful death, automobile liability claims, and nursing home and assisted-living facility defense litigation.
Ms. Laassel earned her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in political science from the University of Central Florida in 2004. While attending college, she was a member of the Mock Trial Team, and the Golden Key and Order of Omega honoraries. Ms. Laassel earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2007. During law school, Ms. Laassel was a member of the Jessup Moot Court team, and served as Executive Research Editor for the University of Florida Journal of International Law.
Ms. Laassel is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Ms. Laassel speaks Arabic, French, and Spanish.
