Michele D. Morales is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer. Ms. Morales focuses her practice in the areas of premises liability, governmental/municipality liability, nursing home defense litigation and labor and employment law.

Ms. Morales was born and raised in Florida.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in International Affairs and Religion from Florida State University in 1996.  Ms. Morales then earned her Juris Doctor in 2000 from the University of Florida while simultaneously earning a Master of Health Administration degree.  She began her practice in Miami, Florida for a state wide law firm where she became partner within 4 years.  At the time, she was the first Hispanic partner and the only female partner of the 100 member firm.  During her seven years at her prior firm, she traveled frequently between Miami, Tampa, and Orlando to represent clients in these jurisdictions.  Her practice areas focused primarily on nursing home litigation, medical malpractice, and general tort liability.  In that respect, she was able to hone her skills as a trial attorney addressing complex litigation including a working knowledge of medical issues that drive damages.  In 2007, Ms. Morales joined the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood and Boyer.  There, she continued to develop her practice in the areas of premises and auto liability.  She has been a member of the Florida Bar, in good standing since 2000 and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts.

Extensive Experience in Tort, Litigation and Insurance Defense

Ms. Morales began her practice in civil defense litigation since her graduation from law school.  During that time, she has successfully defended in all areas of tort litigation including wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases from pre-suit to trial.  She has a reputation for delivering results for her clients on behalf of governmental entities, small companies, Fortune 500 corporations including the world's largest retailer.

Experience in Labor and Employment Law

Ms. Morales has experience representing employers and management in various types of employment discrimination actions, including race, gender, age, sexual harassment claims, and whistleblower actions.  Additionally, she has experience representing clients in wage and hour matters to successful resolution.  Ms. Morales frequently assists clients in developing and revising policies in accordance with applicable state and federal law.
