Dennis P. Dore is a partner in the Jacksonville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., specializing in civil trials. Mr. Dore is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law since 1988 by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Education and Specialization.  His practice focuses on the defense of products liability, first party and third party property insurance including extra contractual matters, insurance coverage claims and bad faith litigation; construction defect litigation, fraud and arson, motor vehicle liability and premises liability claims.

Mr. Dore represents insureds, self-insureds, individuals, domestic and public companies, non-profit organizations, and national corporations in a wide range of complex liability involving property and casualty matters.  He has extensive experience handling first and third party claims such as motor vehicle accidents, trucking and transportation issues, construction site accidents, liability of municipalities and other government entities, hotel and motels, and claims involving injury and wrongful death.

Mr. Dore defends many retail and premises liability claims where he represents supermarket and department store chains involved in a variety of demands.  These claims range from slip and falls to design and construction defects to negligent security claims.  His practice also includes admiralty and maritime liability including recreational boating accidents regarding personal injury and property damage.

As a skilled litigator, Mr. Dore has tried over 150 jury trials. He has handled and tried multiple cases dealing with issues of bad faith, including tender rejection cases, first and third party bad faith, and primary versus excess bad faith. He has obtained a defense verdict in a first party bad faith case on behalf of a large auto insurance company, and successfully defended multiple tender rejection cases on behalf of a large insurance and finance services company in the United States.

Mr. Dore has achieved an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating for ethics and legal ability secured by his peers and the judiciary.  He is included in Florida Super Lawyer’s listing from 2007-2010; and 2014-to present.

Prior to joining QPWB, he was a shareholder with one of the nation’s largest law firms devoted to civil defense litigation.

Mr. Dore received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 1982 and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida in 1979.

Mr. Dore is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.

Mr. Dore lectures at multiple seminars dealing with bad faith. He has authored the “defense perspective” in the chapter “Unfair Claims Practices and Bad Faith” in the Florida Automobile Insurance Law Manual published by The Florida Bar, from 1988 to present. Mr. Dore is an avid litigator skilled at handling cases in state and federal courts, from inception, through trial and appeal.
