Ferman M. Fernandez is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  His practice is dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation matters for which he is a certified instructor with Florida’s Department of Insurance.  He is also experienced in the defense of liability actions.

Prior to joining QPWB, he was the managing attorney for the Orlando office of a statewide workers’ compensation defense firm overseeing and handling all cases at both the trial and appellate levels.

He gained his litigation experience trying cases both as a prosecutor where he also acted as a division chief and with the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he was awarded the Sullivan Award for Excellence as IX Corps’ Chief of Legal Assistance and voted the Second Infantry Division’s Most Outstanding Trial Advocate.  He also represented governmental entities as a senior trial attorney with the Attorney General’s civil division.

Mr. Fernandez received his Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Jacksonville University in 1988 under an ROTC scholarship and Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 1991 where he served on the school’s award winning moot court program while on educational delay with the U.S. Army.

He is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

He continues to serve his community as a Guardian Ad Litem.
