Governmental and Legislative Affairs
Quintairos, Prieto, Wood and Boyer’s governmental and legislative affairs practice group offers a wealth of experience and possesses the unique skill set to accomplish a client’s objective.
Our attorneys regularly work with clients to develop successful government relations strategies designed to enhance, preserve and protect their businesses. We consult with our clients to determine their goals with respect to a government relations strategy. Following the identification of goals and desired strategies, we then work to gather the necessary intelligence to guide the government relations strategy. Finally, we proceed with a tailored approach to provide the most appropriate solution designed to achieve our client’s goals and execute on a successful strategy in the legislative and governmental arena.
National in its reach, the team’s main offices are in Chicago and Tallahassee.
In Chicago, the team includes those who have represented corporations, served in various capacities in the Clinton and both Bush administrations as well as chief of staff in Congress, Special Counsel to the Mayor, and counsel for prominent politicians and shepherding legislation and governmental affairs at the local, state and federal levels.
In Tallahassee, spearheading the team’s efforts are those who have served as the chief lobbyist and general counsel for the most influential business organization in Florida in addition to serving in a governor’s administration, as general counsel for a state agency, as legislative analyst for the Florida House of Representatives and on the staff of a United States senator.
Unlike others, QPWB’s team also employs attorneys with extensive litigation experience who not only understand the subtle dynamic between legislation and the courtroom, but who are actively engaged in the political community to ensure the most holistic, optimal approach is undertaken on a client’s behalf.
Whatever the issue or challenge, Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, and Boyer has the experience, reputation and knowledge to make it happen.
