QPWB OBTAINS SUMMARY JUDGMENT IN MALPRACTICE CLAIM
PASCO COUNTY, FL –
Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) ) partner Todd M. Smayda secured a summary judgment for an orthopedic surgeon in a medical malpractice action. The summary judgment releases the surgeon from the lawsuit alleging that the surgeon was one of two physicians who negligently operated on the patient causing her neurological injuries. Mr. Smayda developed evidence that his client was not the physician who operated on the patient, and that the other surgeon listed on the operative record actually performed the surgery.
