J. Peter Cassidy, III is a partner in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Cassidy focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice including the defense of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.  He regularly represents physicians and other professionals before their respective licensure boards.  Mr. Cassidy’s practice also encompasses the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, premises liability, general and complex civil litigation, and wrongful death liability. Additionally, his practice extends to the areas of real estate, land use and zoning, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Cassidy spent three years working in Frankfort for the Kentucky General Assembly as a legislative analyst with the House, Senate, and Interim Joint Committees on Judiciary, before entering private practice in 2003.  Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Cassidy was an attorney with a Lexington, Kentucky law firm practicing in the area of civil litigation.

Mr. Cassidy received his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University in 1996 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2000.

Mr. Cassidy is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is admitted in the U.S. District Courts, Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit.  His professional memberships include the Kentucky Bar Association, Fayette County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
