Tanisha A. Hickerson is an associate in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  Ms. Hickerson focuses her practice in the general area of civil defense litigation, including personal injury defense, employment law, premises and product liability, insurance bad faith, and professional liability.

Ms. Hickerson received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2006 and her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in philosophy with a minor in communications from the University of Louisville in 2003.  In law school, she was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Board and the Black Law Students Association.  She was also a KLEO Program Participant and Scholar and a recipient of the William C. Parker Scholarship.

As an active member of the Louisville Bar Association, Ms. Hickerson serves as the Chair of the LBA’s Young Lawyers Section where she assists with, organizes and participates as a panelist in various continuing legal education presentations pertaining to litigation skills, generational differences in the practice of law and practice as a young attorney.  Ms. Hickerson is also an active member of the Louisville Black Lawyers Association and the Women Lawyers Association.

Ms. Hickerson is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  She is a member of the American, Kentucky, and Louisville Bar Associations.
