Heather M. McCollum is an associate in the Lexington, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. McCollum focuses her practice in the areas of insurance defense, coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, fraud and arson, subrogation, appellate practice, and personal injury.  In addition, Ms. McCollum has experience in product liability litigation in the areas of manufacturer design defect and dangerous products litigation.  Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. McCollum was an associate at a Lexington law firm and member of the litigation practice group focusing in the areas of civil litigation.

Ms. McCollum received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 1998 majoring in communications.

Ms. McCollum is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is admitted in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.  She is also a member of the Fayette County and Kentucky Bar Associations, as well as the American Association for Justice, National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII), and Defense Research Institute.

Ms. McCollum frequently conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars for the various areas of law in which her practice is focused.

In her community, Ms. McCollum participates in hospice-related charities and care for the elderly.
