Perry Adanick is a partner in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice focuses in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, automobile liability claims, premises liability, and products liability.
Mr. Adanick has extensive experience in the areas of general insurance and SIU (Special Investigations Unit) defense. His practice involves all aspects of insurance defense litigation and SIU matters, including arson, PIP and other fraud, major personal injury claims, products liability, insurer bad faith claims, and insurance coverage issues.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Adanick was of counsel with the Bush Law Office in Louisville where he had practiced since 2000. Previously, following a two-year judicial clerkship with U.S. District Judge Henry R. Wilhoit, Jr., Mr. Adanick moved to Louisville and began private practice in general civil litigation and insurance defense with the law firm of Segal & Shanks, where he practiced for almost 15 years.
Mr. Adanick received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in 1980; while in college, he was a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa. During law school, he was Treasurer of both Pi Alpha Delta and the International Law Society.
Mr. Adanick has been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since 1983 and is admitted in all state and federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits.
Mr. Adanick is a member of Louisville and Kentucky Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute (DRI), National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII), International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) – Kentucky Chapter.
Mr. Adanick is a frequent lecturer on the topics of insurance defense, arson, fraud, products liability, insurance coverage claims, bad faith litigation, and automobile accident litigation. Additionally, he lectures on advanced legal topics such as jury selection and evidence presentation at trial. Attendees at his seminars include attorneys, in-house counsel, and insurance claims professionals.
