Timothy “Tim” D. Corwin is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Corwin practices in the areas of insurance defense litigation and general liability, including personal injury defense, wrongful death, premises liability, negligent security, product liability, automobile liability claims, legal malpractice defense, insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
Mr. Corwin received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2006 majoring in English. During the summer of 2005, Mr. Corwin served as a communications intern and assistant speechwriter to former Governor of Michigan, Jennifer M. Granholm. While in law school, he received honors in legal research and writing and excelled in trial practice competition. He served as a summer judicial intern for the 15th Judicial Circuit of Florida in West Palm Beach, where among his duties he presented civil and criminal appeal analysis to appellate judicial panels.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Corwin was an associate at a Bloomington, Illinois law firm where amongst his duties he served as trial counsel, focusing on products liability and personal injury cases. He previously served as a summer associate of the firm in 2004, 2006, and 2007.
Mr. Corwin is licensed to practice law in Florida and Illinois. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
