Eric W. Boyer is the Managing Partner of Operations at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. and practices from the firm’s Miami office. His areas of practice include general liability, insurance defense, premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home defense litigation, and other entities involved with the healthcare industry. He has also extensively counseled clients in loss prevention and risk management across a broad spectrum of issues. Mr. Boyer manages and coordinates the handling of large complex litigation accounts to ensure guideline compliance and quality service. He is also routinely retained by self-insured clients and insurance companies to negotiate and facilitate settlements.
He currently serves on the nominating committee of the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management & Patient Safety (FSHRMPS) of the Florida Hospital Association. Mr. Boyer’s professional activities and memberships also include The Florida Bar, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Risk and Insurance Management Society, American Health Care Association, American Health Lawyers Association, American College of Health Care Administrators, Health Care Compliance Association, Assisted Living Federation of America, Florida Heath Care Association, Florida Council on Aging, and the Florida Assisted Living Association to name a few.
Mr. Boyer is admitted to practice in Florida, in state and federal courts.
In 1994 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University and earned his Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 1997.
Mr. Boyer joined Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer in 1998 and was admitted as a partner in 2000.
