William E. Crabill is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His primary areas of practice focus on the defense and litigation of personal injury and products liability cases, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters, throughout Florida, the Bahamas, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition to representing personal and corporate interests and their insurers in connection with litigation arising out of shoreside accidents, Mr. Crabill also has an extensive admiralty and maritime law background. He has represented cruise lines, marine underwriters, protection and indemnity (P&I) clubs, and recreational/commercial vessel owners and operators in maritime casualty claims, including Jones Act negligence, unseaworthiness, maintenance & cure, LHWCA and wrongful death cases, brought by passengers, crewmembers, and longshoremen. Mr. Crabill holds a U.S. Coast Guard master mariner's license. His practice routinely requires foreign travel and Spanish language proficiency.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Crabill was associated (2003-2007) with the Coral Gables, FL insurance defense firm of Marlow, Connell, Valerius, Abrams, Adler, Newman & Lewis, P.A. There, he concentrated his practice on the litigation and trial of personal injury and products liability matters in the state (territorial) and federal courts of Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mr. Crabill received his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 1989. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad Law Center in 1996.
Mr. Crabill is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a member of the American Bar Association; the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute; the Miami-Dade County Bar Association; the Dade County Defense Bar Association; and the Defense Research Institute.
