Ferman M. Fernandez is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice in the litigation area is dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation matters. He is also experienced in the defense of liability actions.
Mr. Fernandez also has significant experience in the insurance industry, and is knowledgeable in handling claims. In private practice, he has handled general liability and workers’ compensation cases at both the trial and appellate levels. He was also managing attorney for the Orlando office of a statewide workers’ compensation defense firm.
As a prosecutor for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, Mr. Fernandez has tried jury cases before county and circuit courts. Additionally, he has represented government entities serving as a senior trial attorney with the Attorney General’s Civil Division.
Mr. Fernandez received his Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville University in 1988, and earned his Juris Doctor in 1991 from Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Team.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Fernandez served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and was awarded the Sullivan Medal for Excellence, and voted “Most Outstanding Trial Advocate” in the Second Infantry Division.
Mr. Fernandez is a member of The Florida Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
He continues to serve his community as a Guardian Ad Litem, as well as in other civic and volunteer organizations.
