M. Gummer is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His areas of practice include premises liability, products liability, and defenses of various amusement and entertainment industry clients, including owners, manufacturers and operators of entertainment equipment and inflatables, family entertainment centers, and amusement parks.
Mr. Gummer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Western Kentucky University in 1998. He continued his education and earned a Masters of Public Administration. In 2001, Mr. Gummer earned a Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
Mr. Gummer lectures throughout Florida and nationally on legal trends and managing risk on topics such as: equipment safety, spoliation, and defending depositions of corporate representatives. Additionally, Mr. Gummer provides in-service training for clients on issues related to risk management, risk reduction, safety, and employee training.
In his community, Mr. Gummer is actively involved with several civic organizations including the YMCA, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2001. Mr. Gummer is also Founder and Past President of the Lake Nona Toastmasters.
Mr. Gummer is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is also a member of The Florida Bar, the Orange County Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
