H. King is a partner at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. and practices from the firm's Miami office. Her areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home defense litigation, labor and employment litigation, collections and professional liability.
In addition to litigating in the above referenced areas, Ms. King acts as regional/coordinating counsel for our clients that desire and require structured communication, protocol and compliance with litigation management guidelines between the claims professional, counsel and the insured.
A graduate of the University of California in Los Angeles, where she received, with honors, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1993, Ms. King earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995.
She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and her peers have assigned Ms. King the highest rating of AV.
Ms. King is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the Florida Health Care Association and the Florida Assisted Living Association.
Ms. King is the author of an article entitled “Personal Jurisdiction Over a Non-Resident Corporation,” that appeared in South Florida Legal Guide 2005; and two appellate decisions published in the Southern Reporter: American Airlines, Inc. v. American Home Assurance Company, 731 S.2d 810 (Fla. 3d DCA 1999), and Empire Blue Cross & Blue Shield v. Adams, 729, So.2d 481 (Fla. 4th DCA 1999).
She began her legal career in Miami with Ratiner, Reyes & O'Shea, P.A. as an associate practicing Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, and later joined Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson, P.A., mainly practicing insurance defense litigation, aviation, professional liability and employment law. Ms. King then went on to Daniels, Kashtan, Downs & Oramas, P.A. in Coral Gables with her practice concentrating in construction litigation, professional liability and A/E liability. In 2001, Ms. King joined QPWB as an associate and became a partner in 2003.
