Luis E. Ordonez is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. In more than 25 years of practice, he has routinely dealt with legal issues involving general liability and insurance defense. Mr. Ordonez has extensive experience litigating a variety of substantive legal areas including, but not limited to, premises liability, commercial liability, trucking, automobile, and commercial fleet liability claims, professional liability, construction defects, and products liability defense.
Previously, Mr. Ordonez was the Miami office managing director and partner at Wagenfeld Levine, where he led the firm’s General Liability Practice Group; he was recently a senior trial attorney at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., in Miami. Mr. Ordonez was a former managing attorney for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company’s Miami litigation office, where he was responsible for handling automobile and premises liability matters, and coverage opinions. He was also a litigation partner at Marlow, Connell et al., in Miami, and an associate at Miami-based Blackwell & Walker, P.A. Mr. Ordonez began his legal career in 1981 at a Chicago law firm.
Mr. Ordonez is a member of the Florida and Illinois state bars and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Ordonez holds an AV-rating with Martindale Hubbell, denoting the highest accolade an attorney can receive for his legal ability and ethical standards.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, in 1978 Mr. Ordonez received a Bachelor of Science in business, and in 1981 he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois.
