John “Jack” L. Oliver, III is an associate in the Dallas office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Oliver focuses his practice on the defense of healthcare providers, transportation companies, and business owners of all sizes in litigation, regulatory, and contractual matters.  Mr. Oliver also handles litigation of disputes arising from ERISA benefit plans maintained under Texas nonsubscriber laws and often represents health care professionals in administrative and disciplinary hearings before the Texas Medical Board and Texas Department of Insurance.  His practice involves advising clients, conducting depositions and hearings, attending mediations, and participating in arbitrations and trials in both state and federal court.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Oliver practiced in the areas of civil litigation as an associate with a civil litigation firm where he managed first and third party insurance matters, Examinations Under Oath, prepared coverage opinions, and advised clients on complex fraud claims involving RICO.

Mr. Oliver earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio, Texas in 2014 and Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2011, graduating with a major in finance. While in law school, he was a member of the Dean’s List. He participated in moot court and trial advocacy and served as a judicial intern with the Thirteenth Court of Appeals and the City of Corpus Christi City Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Oliver is licensed to practice law in Texas.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas.
