Daniel S. Gumm is a partner in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Gumm’s practice areas include the defense of property and casualty claims, automobile liability, premises liability, insurer bad faith claims, coverage losses, insurance fraud/SIU (Special Investigations Unit) matters, and the recovery of personal injury protection (PIP) benefits.
Mr. Gumm has conducted numerous civil jury trials through verdict as defense counsel for first party and third party actions. Many of those verdicts resulted in a zero dollar recovery to Plaintiff(s).
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Gumm served as Assistant Attorney General in Frankfort, Kentucky where he prosecuted Medicaid provider fraud cases and interpreted federal and state Medicaid regulations. He presented Medicaid fraud cases to grand juries across the state of Kentucky, determined appropriate resolution and recouped monies to the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program.
Mr. Gumm received his Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Highland Heights, Kentucky in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisville in 2007.
Mr. Gumm is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU).
