Anthony J. Gonzalez is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  He practices in the areas of multiple aspects of insurance defense litigation including premises liability, automotive accidents, construction, and general liability matters.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Gonzalez worked as an attorney to a regional law firm focused on retail and restaurant litigation, professional liability, employment law, auto accidents, trucking, and products liability.  Within the same law office, he first served as a law clerk and assisted defense counsel in the areas of general negligence, PIP and premises liability, including investigative work for insurance fraud by claimants and health care providers.

Mr. Gonzalez received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in May 2017 and two Bachelor of Arts from Florida International University in May 2013 and December 2012, graduating with majors in international relations and political science.  During law school, he served as senior staff member of the Law Review, Treasurer to the Criminal Law Society, and was the Networking Chair of the Student Bar Association.

While in law school, Mr. Gonzalez interned for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Chief Counsel, where he prosecuted immigration violations and assisted counsel in removal proceedings through the drafting of motions and briefs, as well as through investigative work to uncover immigration fraud. He also participated in a Certified Legal Internship within the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office where he represented indigent criminal defendants. There, he drafted and argued motions, conducted depositions, and second-chaired several bench trials.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida. He is a current member of the Florida International University President’s Council. 

Mr. Gonzalez is fluent in Spanish.
