Jaime R. Balladares is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He concentrates his practice in first party property insurance defense, and automobile and premises liability.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Balladares worked as a law clerk to a firm handing cruise line based personal injury, products liability, insurance and federal maritime law issues such as Jones Act and seaworthiness. He also held the position of head law clerk to a personal injury and PIP insurance litigation office analyzing pre-suit documents, expert opinions, medical records, insurance policies, pleadings and motions.
Mr. Balladares received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in May 2018 and Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Florida State University in May 2015, graduating with a major in criminology and psychology and minor in business administration. While in law school he served as a senior staff member to the FIU Law Review, interned with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office and with a law firm aiding criminal defense attorneys with DUI and misdemeanor cases. He also held a student attorney role within the Florida International University College of Law Small Business Clinic, where he provided corporate and transactional legal assistance on matters such as entity formation, contact review and preparation of trademark and copyright applications.
He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
