Colleen M. Schuetz is an associate in the Memphis, Tennessee office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She is involved in all aspects of litigation and trial preparation representing hospitals, physicians, and long-term care cases.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Schuetz served as an associate attorney with a Memphis law firm where she prepared medical malpractice and long-term care litigation trials. Most recently and since 2017, she has served as an Administrative Law Clerk with the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals analyzing trial records, appellate briefs and oral arguments. She’s also served as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Shelby County Chancery Court composing findings of facts, conclusion of law and memorandum opinions on motions for summary judgment.
Ms. Schuetz received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in May 2015 with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution and Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Tulane University, New Orleans in May 2012. While in law school, she served as research editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy. She worked as a legal intern in the Office of the General Counsel at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she wrote on topics concerning Medicaid disclosure requirements and HIPAA privacy issues; she also worked at St. Jude’s as a research assistant at the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department. Ms. Schuetz served as a judicial intern at the Tennessee Court of Appeals writing bench briefs for oral arguments and conducting legal research.
Ms. Schuetz is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and Memphis Bar Association.
