James M. Oliver is an associate in the Pensacola office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He concentrates his practice on defending employers and carriers in workers’ compensation matters.  His practice includes commercial and civil litigation including foreclosure and landlord, tenant actions.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Oliver practiced as an attorney to a workers’ compensation law firm managing claims, analyzing indemnity and future medical issues for effectuating settlements and negotiations on behalf of employers.  He also worked as an associate attorney to a civil litigation law firm representing clients in cases involving elder law, probate, trusts, agreements and compliance and resolution matters with the Internal Revenue Service.  Additionally, he was an associate attorney at a regional law firm where he handled 1st chair administrative trials, 2nd chair bench trials, a variety of motions, petitions, pleadings, complaints, appeals and other circuit court motions. 

Mr. Oliver received his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2017 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida in 2013 graduating with a major in legal studies.  While in law school, he served as a student clinician where he interviewed clients to determine their legal needs and created documents including LLC operating agreements, releases from liability, rental agreements and purchase-sale agreements.  He was also a law clerk at an insurance and medical professional law firm and assisting with appellate cases and held a guardian ad litem internship in Jacksonville, Florida.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
