Amber J. Austin is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice focuses in the areas of automobile liability, medical malpractice, and general liability matters.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Austin was an attorney at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc. handling cases involving family law matters including divorce, paternity actions, child support modifications, and representing clients at civil injunction for protection hearings.
Ms. Austin received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law in May of 2017. She earned Book Awards in Lawyering Process for Litigation Practice, Business Associations, and Regulation of Health Care Industries. She served the Caribbean Law Student Association as secretary and Black Law Student Association as pro bono chair. Ms. Austin received her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Valdosta State University, in May 2014, graduating with a major in English.
While in law school, she worked as a certified legal intern and student clinician to a regional family law legal clinic assisting with dissolution of marriage, adoption and paternity cases. She also interned at a supervised visitation center, aiding clients by reviewing petitions for injunction, police reports, parenting plans, and complex marital matters.
