Christopher N. Gonsalves is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  He practices in the areas of long-term care defense and general liability including, premises liability, products liability, automobile liability, wrongful death arising from various alleged torts, negligent security, and other negligence and tort claims. Mr. Gonsalves is also a licensed physical therapist.

Mr. Gonsalves has an extensive background in healthcare, rehabilitation services, safety management, elderly living assessment, and quality patient care.  He has held a variety of healthcare management, chairperson, and committee positions at a regional nursing and rehabilitation services provider handling oversight and implementation of home health safety protocols in compliance with regulatory agencies including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Inspector General (OIG), and the Joint Commission.  

While in healthcare, he focused on improving Continuum of Care retention of patients discharged from hospitals to home health, developed a comprehensive falls intervention program for the home health environment, lectured on falls and safety throughout the Central Florida Community, and served as an expert witness. 

Mr. Gonsalves obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from Barry University School of Law in May 2019, a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in May 2001, and Bachelor of Health Science, with honors, from the University of Florida in May 2000. 

Mr. Gonsalves graduated from law school with high honors in Litigation and Advocacy. At Barry, he was a member and Vice President of the nationally recognized Barry University Trial Team. Mr. Gonsalves was selected as the 2016-2017 Barry University Trial Team Witness of the Year, and the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 Barry University Trial Team Advocate of the Year. He placed third in the 2017 Golden Gate University Trial Advocacy Competition and was a semifinalist in the 2018 AAJ Regional Trial Advocacy Competition. He now serves as a Trial Team coach at Barry University School of Law. 

Mr. Gonsalves is licensed to practice law in Florida.
