Anna Garber is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Garber has over 15 years of experience representing insurance companies, their insureds, and self-insured companies in a broad range of general liability and casualty matters, ranging from slip and fall claims and negligent security actions to handling insurance defense litigation claims and personal injury matters for a wide range of businesses, organizations and individuals.
Her practice mainly focuses on civil litigation and includes a broad range of general liability involving premises liability, automobile liability, and wrongful death matters arising from various alleged torts, negligent security, other negligence and tort claims. She also handles construction related claims concerning job site accidents and injuries, wrongful death, and construction defect; and real estate and contractual disputes.
Ms. Garber also represents matters regarding civil rights actions and government liability defense. In addition to her representation of first-party property claims and third party liability matters, her practice involves resolving liability claims through negotiation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Her representation in these areas, involves providing coverage opinions, conducting examinations under oath and depositions, and working with expert witnesses.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Garber was an in-house attorney for a travel company advising on contractual obligations to third-party companies and vendors. She also advised on liability claims and developed best business practice strategies and FCC compliance guidelines. Previously, and since 2004, she had worked for an insurance defense law firm and a personal injury plaintiff’s law firm representing all of her current areas of practice.
Ms. Garber received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in May 2004 and Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Florida in December 2000 graduating with double majors in political science with a Certification in International Business, and Russian language and literature. While in law school, she was articles editor of the Hastings Law Journal.
Ms. Garber is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.
