Vanessa A. Braga is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She concentrates her practice in the areas of premises liability, nursing home and assisted living defense litigation, medical malpractice defense, and employment law.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Braga was an associate attorney with an Orlando law office primarily representing employers and employees in discrimination and employment law matters in court proceedings and in the administrative agency process. Previously, she worked as an associate attorney handling first-party insurance appeals.
Ms. Braga received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida in May 2014. She attended Florida State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in May 2009 graduating with a double major in Political Science and International Affairs and a Master of Science in Applied American Politics and Policy in December 2010.
At Stetson, she was the recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. She served as president of the Brewer Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta at Stetson, legislative representative of the student bar association, and was vice president of the Asian-American Law Student Association. Also, while in law school, Ms. Braga interned as in-house counsel for HSN (the Home Shopping Network) where she worked on employment law issues, compliance, and assisted with revision of HSN proxy statements.
Ms. Braga is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida.
Ms. Braga is a member of the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She has served as president of the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association and chaired the 2017 Central Florida Diversity Mentoring Picnic, and Hearsay columnist for the Orange County Bar Association’s monthly publications, The Briefs.
In her community, she serves as a Guardian to displaced children.
