Alex Ramirez is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice focuses on the defense, and insurance coverage, and claims handling process of matters involving insurance bad faith and extra contractual issues; construction defect and personal injury claims; governmental liability and civil rights defense (42 U.S.C. Section 1983), labor and employment law, premises liability, product liability, and administrative law.

Previously, he was an assistant public defender with the Osceola County Public Defender’s Office in Kissimmee, Florida representing felony and misdemeanor cases through all phases of the judicial process including hearings, arraignments, pre-trial proceedings, plea negotiations, trials, sentencing and appeals. 

Prior to joining the practice of law, Mr. Ramirez served in the United States Army in Fort Hood, Texas and Vilseck, Germany as an executive officer, mechanized infantry platoon leader, vehicle commander and team leader. After the active component of his military service, he returned to Florida to attend law school and served as an executive officer of the United States Army Reserves for nearly five years.

Mr. Ramirez earned his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Litigation and Advocacy from Barry University School of Law, Orlando, Florida in May 2018 and Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida in May 2009 graduating with a major in political science.  He completed the Judge Advocate Officer’s Basic Course at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, United States Army, in July 2020.

Mr. Ramirez is licensed to practice law in Florida.
