Johnathan Spencer Young is an associate in the Dallas office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He focuses his practice in the areas of insurance defense and coverage matters, and represents entities in business-related disputes and commercial general liability. Mr. Young represents architects, engineers and design professionals in professional liability issues and construction defect matters. He conducts site inspections to assess liability exposure in construction defect matters and works alongside expert witnesses defending depositions of fact.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Young was an associate with a Dallas law office where he focused on the representation of design professionals, business and construction litigation, and insurance coverage defense matters.
Mr. Young received his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in May 2019 and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business in May 2019; he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2016.
While in law school, he was a national semi-finalist at the ABA Arbitration Competition; he served as president of the Student Bar Association and was on the board of the Business & Bankruptcy Law Journal; where in 2019, his article was published: “You Signed What With Whom? A Comparative Analysis of the Assignability of Covenants Not to Compete,” Texas Tech Law Business and Bankruptcy Journal, Vol. VI, Spring 2019.
Mr. Young is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association.
