Nory M. Acosta-Lopez is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., practicing in the areas of complex commercial litigation with an emphasis in labor and employment law, insurance defense litigation, bodily injury defense including slip and fall claims, construction accident claims, and negligent security.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Acosta-Lopez was a senior associate attorney with a Coral Gables, Florida boutique law office representing businesses and individuals in various areas including labor and employment matters, banking issues, commercial foreclosures, UCC-related matters, negotiable instruments, real estate disputes, and business law matters. Ms. Acosta-Lopez’s practice included all aspects of case and trial preparation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Previously, she represented individuals, corporations and large lenders in commercial foreclosures, lien foreclosures, bankruptcy issues, contract disputes, and employment litigation concerning Title VII charges with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on allegations of wrongful discharge and discrimination.
Ms. Acosta-Lopez has also handled all aspects of complex matrimonial law matters while working as an associate attorney at a highly rated family law practice in Miami, Florida where she handled pre-nuptial agreement validity, equitable distribution matters, parental rights and custody issues.
