R. Christian Garrison is an associate in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He focuses his practice in the areas of general liability, insurance defense and coverage matters including motor vehicle liability, premises liability and negligent security actions, and investigations involving suspicious losses, staged accidents, and suspected fraud.
Prior to entering private practice at QPWB, Mr. Garrison practiced in the area of criminal trials prosecuting general criminal cases in the Jefferson County District Court as an assistant county attorney. He also worked as a post-conviction staff attorney with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy.
In the course of this work and since 2011, he represented incarcerated clients within Kentucky prisons on meritorious post-conviction challenges to their state court and other constitutional violations, while vigorously supporting their interests from the investigatory stage through plea negotiation, and including proceedings in the Kentucky Court of Appeals, Kentucky Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts in Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Garrison also worked as an assistant public defender in the Louisville-Jefferson County Public Defender Corporation.
Mr. Garrison received his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University College of Law in May 2009 and Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, in August 2004, graduating with a major in political science.
Mr. Garrison is licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
