Carlton C. Hamilton is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Hamilton focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation and claims involving automotive negligence, premises liability and negligent security actions; roadway construction liability, products liability, and general liability claims with a focus on the representation of the retail, restaurant and hospitality industry.
Mr. Hamilton served on active duty as First Lieutenant in the United States Army with the Judge Advocate General Corps where he advised on military justice, investigations, ethics and fiscal law. He also assisted service members on matters concerning landlord tenant issues, dissolution of marriage, and drafting of Wills. Mr. Hamilton continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves, 174th Legal Operations Detachment Team in Orlando, Florida.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Hamilton managed hundreds of felony cases and conducted criminal trials from intake through disposition as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney in Orlando.
Mr. Hamilton received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in May 2018 and Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in May 2015, graduating with a major in legal studies and minor in criminal justice. Mr. Hamilton was awarded the Army’s Judge Advocate Certification upon completing the Officer’s Basic Course at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, United States Army, Charlottesville, Virginia in July 2020.
While in law school, Mr. Hamilton served as a certified legal intern with the Public Interest Law Center, in Tallahassee, Florida and the Office of the State Attorney, Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Hamilton is licensed to practice law in Florida.
