Ried J. Arnold is a partner in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Arnold has extensive experience handling actions involving insurance coverage disputes, policy interpretation matters, and the application of policy exclusion arising from a wide variety of insurance products including general liability, construction defect, motor vehicle liability, premise liability, negligent security, and professional liability actions. His practice is also emphasized in catastrophic injuries and wrongful death claims arising from various alleged torts, and other negligence and tort claims.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Arnold was an attorney for a Florida based property insurance carrier where he handled first party property litigation. He favorably settled cases through negotiation or via received dismissals through settlements and Motions for Sanctions (57.105). Here, he also lectured and presented seminars attended by attorneys, claims professionals, and risk managers regarding first-party property Florida cases such as Sebo v. American Home Assurance Co., a Florida Supreme Court case regarding “concurrent cause doctrine” coverage and causes of loss under an all-risk policy; and Hicks v. American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida, an appeal regarding policy exclusions and coverage dates.
Mr. Arnold has handled complex construction defect cases for over 10 years; he has represented general contractors and subcontractors in complex multi-party litigation, third party plaintiff general contractors and subcontractors, and a County in Titusville, Florida in construction delay claims. He has practiced with various law firms in Orlando and has secured Motions to Dismiss in construction defect cases regarding negligence claims. As lead attorney, he has represented clients in several multi-million dollar mediations and has participated in complex construction trials. When he commenced private practice in 2008, he focused on commercial litigation and was highly successful in representing automotive dealerships, plaintiffs and defendants.
