QPWB’S MEDICAL MALPRACTICE DEFENSE PARTNER ACHIEVES
NO PAY DISMISSAL ON POST-ER DEATH OF 48 YEAR OLD
Medical Malpractice Defense / Negligence
CHICAGO ― Laura G. Postilion, a partner in the Chicago office, forced a no-pay dismissal in Lake County just prior to the due date for plaintiff’s expert disclosures, thereby saving her clients from defending protracted litigation and avoiding the risks attendant to trial. The plaintiff alleged negligence during an emergency room visit resulting in the patient’s death within 24 hours after discharge, allegedly due to undiagnosed peritonitis.
