Leslie Rushing is a partner in the firm’s Business, Financial Services & Real Estate Division in West Palm Beach, Florida and serves as managing attorney of the Default Bankruptcy section. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation with a concentration in the areas of real estate, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, and collection matters. Ms. Rushing handles lender representations, including loan servicing and default-related legal services ranging from loss mitigation to foreclosure, evictions, and REO closings.
Prior to joining QPWB, she was an associate attorney with a southeastern regional law firm specializing in default legal services where she focused in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and real estate. She practiced from the firm’s West Palm Beach office and supervised the firm’s Florida bankruptcy practice. Her caseload involved breach of contract cases, real estate, and employment law matters. Previously, she was an associate attorney assisting with bankruptcy and debt collection matters at a commercial and corporate litigation law office in Fort Myers, Florida.
Ms. Rushing received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in May 2012 and Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from the University of North Carolina in December 2008, graduating with a major in political science. While in law school, she earned high grade awards in Bankruptcy, Real Property, and Florida Land Development. She was the recipient of the NSU Pro Bono Honor, and served as a faculty teacher and research assistant. Ms. Rushing served as editor of the International Research and Citation Guide; she was a member of the Criminal Law Society and served on the board as director of operations and president.
Ms. Rushing is licensed to practice law in Florida; she is a member of The Florida Bar and is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
Ms. Rushing is a member of Florida’s Association for Women Lawyers, American Bankruptcy Institute, Broward County Bar Association, and Palm Beach County Bar Association.
