Christopher D. Hastings is an associate in the Tallahassee office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He focuses his practice in the areas of workers’ compensation defense, employment law, insurance defense, medical malpractice, nursing home defense, premises liability, construction defect, and complex commercial litigation.  Mr. Hastings also has experience in the representation of condominium associations and their board members for claims related to board management, association disputes, and management disputes.

Prior to joining QPWB in 2016, Mr. Hastings was an associate with a regional law office.  He worked on local government, land use, and administrative law matters.

Mr. Hastings received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in May 2015 and Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in May 2012 graduating with a major in environmental science and policy and Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law.  In law school, he was recognized by the FSU Law Review as Outstanding Editor of the Year (2015) he earned Book Awards in Property, Climate Change Seminar and Water Law, and was presented with the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award.

Also while in law school, he served as a legislative intern with The Florida House of Representative, State Affairs Committee; he clerked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, and interned with the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County.

Mr. Hastings is licensed to practice law in Florida.
