Carolina M. Suazo is an associate in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice focuses in the areas of insurance defense and nursing home and long term care litigation.
Prior to QPWB, she worked as an assistant attorney general for Children’s Legal Services, Office of the Attorney General in Tampa, litigating cases of child abuse, representing the Department of Children and Families in mediations and negotiations and acting as lead counsel on Dependency and Termination of Parental Rights.
Ms. Suazo received her Juris Doctor in May 2017 and Master of Laws in Advocacy in May 2018 from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida; and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida in December 2012 with a major in psychology and minor in law and social issues.
While in law school, she was a member of the National Order of Barristers, Trial Team and Dispute Resolution Board. She also held a certified legal internship with The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court for the Office of the State Attorney’s Misdemeanor Division, Tampa, Florida and The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court for the Public Defender’s Office, Juvenile Crossover Children’s Program in Clearwater, Florida. Ms. Suazo also served as an appellate intern to The Sixth Judicial Appellate Circuit Court, Clearwater, Florida and interned with the Children’s Legal Services Unit, Attorney General’s Office in Tampa, Florida.
Ms. Suazo is licensed to practice law in Florida.
