Gregg J. Lytle is the managing partner of the Tulsa, Oklahoma office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Lytle has over 15 years of trial experience in the defense of national long-term health care providers. He also has a national practice defending claims of employment discrimination and violations of wage and hour law. He has appeared in numerous Federal courts across the county to defend employers, including the successful defense of multiple class actions. Mr. Lytle is included in Oklahoma’s Super Lawyer ® Rising Star listing since 2010; in 2017, he was added to the Super Lawyers Rising Star’s Medical Malpractice Defense register in Texas.
Mr. Lytle’s practice focuses in the areas of healthcare, medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, commercial and business litigation, premises liability, construction defect, employment litigation and professional malpractice defense. He also represents the interests of insurers in subrogation actions to recover payments related to property damage, automobile accidents, construction and other claims.
Mr. Lytle has extensive experience in the defense of a wide range of medical specialties and related medical issues emphasized through vigorous defense and defending deposition of treating physicians and experts. He has deposed: adverse neurosurgeons, OB/GYN, orthopedic surgeons, general surgeons, nurses, pulmonologists, neurologists, dentists, toxicologists, life care planners, accident reconstructionists and other technical experts, engineers, economists, and others.
Areas of Practice – Representative Experience
Medical Malpractice Litigation ― represents all types of health care systems, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other long term care facilities, hospitals, licensed and trained health care professionals, physicians, dentists and nurses in both state court and federal court, including the Oklahoma and Texas Board of Medical Examiners.
Construction Defect Litigation – represent property owners, contractors, suppliers and Design Professionals in matters involving claims of defective construction on residential, multi-family, commercial, and industrial properties.
General Commercial Litigation – represent business and individual clients in disputes arising from contractual relationships and torts.
Employment Litigation – represent business owners in matters alleging violations of Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Title VII, wrongful termination and discrimination.
Previously, Mr. Lytle was a name partner with an Oklahoma complex litigation law firm where he focused on all of his current areas of practice including appeal briefs to the Oklahoma Supreme Court and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2015, Mr. Lytle was a partner at QPWB’s Dallas office; he was responsible for all aspects of pretrial and trial defense of national long-term health care providers and the representation of physicians and nurses before state licensing agencies. He also represented a national hospitality company in EEOC matters and litigated employment claims.
Mr. Lytle earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law, Oklahoma, in May 2005 and Bachelor of Science in Management from Oklahoma State University in December 2001.
Mr. Lytle is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. He is admitted to practice law in all Oklahoma state and federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma; U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth District; and the U.S. District Court for the Western, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. He has been admitted pro hac vice to numerous other Federal Courts. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Texas Bar Association and Colorado Bar Association.
His professional affiliations also include the LTC Forum, a long-term care specialty group; CLM, and the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Young Lawyers Marketing Committee.
