Teresa A. Arnold-Simmons is managing partner of the Jacksonville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice on long-term care and medical malpractice to include the defense of physicians, hospitals, nurses, nursing homes and prison healthcare providers. Mrs. Arnold-Simmons also handles automobile liability claims and premises liability matters. Additionally, she has lectured regionally and nationally on topics related to medical malpractice, long-term care, and evidentiary issues.
She is a 1988 graduate of the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. She completed her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1992. During law school, she was a member of the student editorial board of the ABA Real Property, Probate & Trust Journal and served as its managing editor. She was also a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe.
Following law school, Mrs. Arnold-Simmons clerked for the South Carolina Court of Appeals as law clerk to Acting Judge and Retired Supreme Court Justice Bruce Littlejohn. In 1993, Mrs. Arnold-Simmons joined the law firm of Turner, Padget, Graham & Laney in Columbia, South Carolina, with a practice focus on medical professional liability, becoming a partner there in 1999. While in South Carolina, Mrs. Arnold-Simmons was a board member of the Columbia (SC) Chamber of Commerce and a member of Leadership Columbia. She joined Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer in 2006.
Mrs. Arnold-Simmons is a member of The Florida Bar and South Carolina Bar. She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida and South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina. Mrs. Arnold-Simmons is a Fellow and serves on the Advisory Board of the Litigation Counsel of America.
