QPWB OFFICIALLY OPENS FOR BUSINESS IN ATLANTA

ATLANTA ― Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. announced the opening of a new office in Atlanta, Georgia. The office opens with four lawyers teaming up and adding experience to the firm’s practices in commercial litigation, labor and employment, immigration and customs, public entity litigation, civil rights defense, maritime and aviation, and real estate and financial services.
The firm is excited to enter this market with a team of practitioners who share the firm’s commitment to providing the highest quality legal service and to a firm culture that inspires the best talent, said the firm’s Managing Partner, Eric. W. Boyer.
The firm has grown its number of offices to 19, spanning throughout the United States and an office in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ryan C. Meade heads up the Atlanta office as its Managing Partner. His practice in general maritime law is extensive. He handles shore-side incidents litigation involving wrongful death and personal injury; his practice also includes fraud, business torts and contractual disputes. Ryan also manages QPWB’s U.S. Virgin Islands office. Ryan is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York, Florida, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Brian R. Dempsey is a partner in the Atlanta office. He has over 18 years of experience representing business and government entities in state and federal courts throughout Georgia. He has a broad background in civil litigation with his practice emphasized in the areas of appellate law, government liability defense, civil rights defense, commercial litigation, labor and employment law, public safety and law enforcement liability, property taxation, insurance defense, and land use. He re received his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Georgia Law School and B.A., magna cum laude, in 1994 from William Smith Colleges, NY. He is admitted in the U.S. District Courts Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia; Georgia Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and United States Supreme Court.
Chevon Andre Brooks is a partner in the Atlanta office. He is a litigation attorney and concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense, property and casualty matters in both federal and state courts and has extensive appellate experience. His practice is also emphasized in the areas of civil litigation defense and insurance coverage litigation, excess/umbrella coverage, labor and employment law and construction related matters, Federal Civil Rights 42 USC §1983 and municipal liability, premises and products liability, asbestos exposure, motor vehicle and general negligence cases. He is a former Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York with significant experience defending municipalities. Mr. Brooks is admitted to practice in New York.
Antonio E. Veal is an associate; his practice is emphasized in commercial litigation, general liability defense, insurance defense and professional malpractice. Antonio served as Senior Assistant District Attorney in Georgia since 2007 in Atlanta, Athens, Decatur and Winder. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
